Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower cut into bite-sized florets
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup milk dairy or plain plant-based
  • 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 can cooking oil spray
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowls

Method

  1. Whisk the flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and milk together to create a thick batter.
  2. Coat the cauliflower florets first in the wet batter, then roll them evenly in the Panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Arrange the breaded florets in a single layer in a preheated 375-degree air fryer basket and spray lightly with oil.
  4. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. Toss the hot, crispy florets immediately in a mixture of buffalo sauce and melted butter before serving.

Notes

  • Work in batches if necessary; overcrowding the air fryer will cause the breading to steam and fall off.
