Ingredients

  • 4 large carrots peeled and ends trimmed
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mandoline Slicer
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your appliance to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Slice the peeled carrots uniformly into 1/16-inch thick coins using a mandoline slicer, then pat them completely dry.
  3. Toss the dry slices in a mixing bowl with the avocado oil until evenly coated.
  4. Mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small dish, then sprinkle over the oiled slices and toss again.
  5. Place the seasoned rounds in the basket in a single layer, avoiding any overlapping.
  6. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket every 3 minutes. Remove when golden brown and let cool on a wire rack to crisp up.

Notes

  • Work in multiple batches if necessary to ensure the slices do not steam each other.
  • Store leftovers at room temperature in a glass container; never refrigerate.
